Full Description
The Via Ferrata Ra Bujela is a short but exciting via ferrata in Cortina d’Ampezzo, perfect for climbers looking for a scenic and fun Dolomites adventure with exposed passages, suspension bridges and spectacular mountain views. Located in the beautiful Tofane area above Cortina, this guided via ferrata combines excellent accessibility with surprisingly dramatic alpine scenery.
One of the special highlights of the route are the two exposed suspension bridges crossing impressive gaps in the rock, creating a fun and adventurous atmosphere throughout the climb. The ferrata itself follows compact limestone walls and panoramic ridge terrain with incredible views toward the Tofane massif, Croda da Lago and the surrounding Cortina Dolomites.
Compared to easier beginner ferratas such as Via Ferrata Ra Gusela Nuvolau or Via Ferrata Sottotenente Fusetti, the Via Ferrata Ra Bujela offers a more exposed and athletic experience while still remaining accessible for sporty beginners and intermediate ferrata climbers. The excellent rock quality and very scenic route make it one of the most enjoyable short ferratas in the Cortina area.
The approach is very quick thanks to the nearby lift infrastructure around Rifugio Duca d’Aosta, making this ferrata a fantastic option for a half-day adventure or for combining with other classic Cortina routes such as Via Ferrata Olivieri Punta Anna.
Together with a certified IFMGA mountain guide from Dolomagic Guides, you can safely experience this panoramic and playful guided via ferrata in the Dolomites while learning more about ferrata technique, mountain safety and the impressive alpine landscape surrounding Cortina d’Ampezzo.
