The Via Ferrata Antermoia on Kesselkogel / Catinaccio d’Antermoia is one of the great summit adventures in the Rosengarten Dolomites. Rising to over 3,000 meters, this guided via ferrata combines exposed alpine climbing, panoramic ridge traverses and breathtaking high-mountain scenery into a true Dolomites mountaineering experience.
Located in the heart of the dramatic Catinaccio/Rosengarten massif, the route is famous for its wild alpine atmosphere and spectacular panoramic setting. Unlike shorter sport-style ferratas, the Via Ferrata Antermoia is a long and physically demanding mountain tour that requires very good fitness, sure-footedness and previous via ferrata experience. The route includes exposed climbing passages, airy ridge terrain and a rewarding summit crossing high above the surrounding Dolomite valleys.
One of the great highlights of the tour is the incredible scenery throughout the entire route. From the summit and surrounding ridges, you enjoy endless views toward Latemar, Marmolada, the Sella Group, and many of the most iconic peaks of the Dolomites. The atmosphere in this part of the Rosengarten is particularly wild and alpine, making the tour feel like a true mountain expedition.
The ferrata is surrounded by some of the most beautiful mountain huts in the Dolomites, including Rifugio Passo Principe and Rifugio Vajolet. Depending on the chosen route and conditions, the tour can pass through these spectacular rifugio areas, adding even more scenic value to the experience.
