The 2026 Winter Olympics will open with a spectacular ceremony at the San Siro Stadium in Milan on February 6, 2026. This marks the beginning of the Milano Cortina 2026 Games — a historic collaboration between Italy’s cultural capital and the heart of the Dolomites.

The San Siro, officially known as Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, is one of Europe’s most iconic sports arenas. Usually home to AC Milan and Inter Milan, it will transform for one night into the global stage for winter sports, uniting athletes, nations, and cultures under one roof.
After the opening ceremony in Milan, the Olympic energy will shift north to the mountains. Cortina d’Ampezzo — the “Queen of the Dolomites” — will host the alpine skiing and snowboarding events, surrounded by breathtaking peaks and valleys. Together, Milan and Cortina will showcase the best of Italian design, hospitality, and nature.
If you’re planning to experience the Olympic atmosphere in the Dolomites, extend your trip into the mountains. Our winter adventures offer a glimpse into the same landscapes where the Games will unfold:
