Tour description

The ridge of the thumb on Five Fingers group in the Sassolungo mountain range is the most beautiful, airy rock edge in the Val Gardena Dolomites.
The tour starts at Passo Sella at the gondola lift to the Sassolungo saddle. We take this up to the Toni Demetz Hut, from where we will soon reach the entrance.
The tour begins with a wall section with difficulty level IV. Your mountain guide will then secure you on a short rope in easier terrain to the actual rock edge. Here an exciting climb begins along the edge of the thumb at the tip of the five fingers.
On the small summit a breathtaking backdrop opens up over the Sassolungo mountain range. We now abseil down into the gap and from here via the normal route, through several abseils, back to the Toni Demetz Hut and Passo Sella.
The tour can also be combined with the ascent of the main peak of the Five Finger mountain.
