Spigolo Dibona route Cima Grande di Lavaredo IV+

The Spigolo Dibona route is one of the great classics in the Dolomites. The route winds its way up along the northeast face in around 20 pitches and 500m. Here we can experience a touch of the pinnacled north face without going above the IV difficulty level UIAA.
We drive together to the Auronzo Hut, below the south side of the Three Peaks. From here we follow the flat hiking trail towards Paternsattel. The north walls of the Three Peaks are already visible from here. Maybe we can already see one or two climbers venturing up this exciting and impressive north face. We climb the gravel field towards the northeast edge. The entrance is already here. The main difficulties lie in the lower part of the route. But the way up is long and the descent along the normal route should not be underestimated either. Overall, this is a very worthwhile tour with insights into the majestic battlements north face.
