Experience an unforgettable 5-day hut-to-hut hiking adventure through the legendary heart of the Dolomites. The King Laurin Alta Via leads from the dramatic Rosengarten massif — home of the famous King Laurin legend — through the iconic Sassolungo group to the mighty Sella range.
This panoramic journey combines exposed alpine trails, legendary Dolomite landscapes, authentic rifugio stays, and the ascent of Piz Boè (3152 m), one of the highest peaks in the Dolomites. Each day delivers spectacular views, varied terrain, and a true high-mountain atmosphere.
Along the way, you stay in some of the most iconic rifugios in the region — Paolina, Santner, Alpe di Tires, Toni Demetz, and Capanna Fassa — each offering unique character and breathtaking settings.
DETAILED PROGRAM
📅 Day 1 – Rifugio Paolina to Rifugio Passo Santner
↑ 1125 m – ↓ 525 m – 9.4 km – 6.0 hrs
Start in the legendary Rosengarten/Catinaccio massif and hike through dramatic alpine scenery to Passo Santner.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 2 – Rifugio Passo Santner to Rifugio Alpe di Tires
↑ 625 m – ↓ 910 m – 7.4 km – 4.8 hrs
Traverse panoramic high alpine terrain toward the peaceful Alpe di Tires.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 3 – Rifugio Alpe di Tires to Rifugio Toni Demetz
↑ 910 m – ↓ 670 m – 12.4 km – 5.9 hrs
Cross below the Sassolungo group with spectacular views and dramatic limestone scenery.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 4 – Rifugio Toni Demetz to Piz Boè and Capanna Fassa
↑ 1230 m – ↓ 145 m – 6.2 km – 5.2 hrs
Summit day: climb Piz Boè (3152 m) and enjoy breathtaking 360° Dolomite views.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 5 – Rifugio Capanna Fassa to Passo Pordoi
↑ 0 m – ↓ 925 m – 4.4 km – 2.4 hrs
Descend across the Sella plateau to Passo Pordoi.

Booking Conditions
PAYMENT PLAN
Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit (or the full amount for “last-minute” bookings made less than 60 days before the tour start). The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before the start of the course.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Once we receive written notice of your trip cancellation, the following fees apply, calculated as a percentage of the total trip cost:
- 61 days or more before the tour begins: 100% loss of the deposit
- 46 to 60 days before the tour begins: 50% refund of the total trip cost
- 45 days or fewer before the tour begins: 100% loss of the total trip cost
These fees are based on the full booking amount. All days refer to the tour’s departure date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

If you have made a fixed date reservation and the weather conditions are not suitable for carrying out the activity safely (according to the expert opinion of the guide), you will be refunded the full amount paid. The guide may suggest an alternative date or time for the activity. You are free to choose whether or not to accept these suggestions. If you are unable to reschedule, we will proceed with a full refund!
For this activity, the cancellation policy is flexible. If you cancel your reservation, we keep 30% of the total amount as a cancellation fee and refund the remaining 70%. You can find the full policies in the Cancellation Policy section.
