Full Description
Discover two of Cortina d’Ampezzo’s most scenic ski areas on a private Faloria and Cristallo On-Piste Ski Tour. The day begins at the Faloria cable-car station in Cortina, where you will meet your ski guide before travelling directly up to the Faloria ski area.
Faloria offers a varied selection of panoramic slopes overlooking Cortina and the surrounding Dolomite peaks. Your guide will choose the most suitable runs according to the group’s skiing ability, preferences and the snow conditions of the day.
The area also has an important place in skiing history. Cortina hosted the 1956 Winter Olympic Games, and the Vitelli slope on Faloria was used for the men’s giant slalom. Austrian skier Toni Sailer won the Olympic gold medal on this course, helping to make the slope one of Cortina’s best-known historic pistes.
After exploring Faloria, the tour continues towards the Cristallo ski area, where you can enjoy further runs beneath one of the most impressive mountain groups in the Dolomites. Faloria and Cristallo together offer a good combination of technical pistes, panoramic skiing and quieter sections away from the busiest circuits.
A lunch stop can be arranged at one of the area’s mountain restaurants, allowing time to enjoy the scenery and local cuisine before continuing with an afternoon of skiing.
