Full Description

Experience one of the most varied and scenic ski circuits in the Dolomites on a private Grande Guerra Ski Tour from Alta Badia. The tour begins in Corvara, where you will meet your ski guide before skiing towards Arabba and the impressive Porta Vescovo ski area.

From Arabba, the route continues towards the Marmolada, the highest mountain in the Dolomites. After reaching Malga Ciapela, you will take a public ski bus or private taxi to the Alleghe and Civetta ski area. The transfer is not included in the tour price.

The Civetta ski area is generally quieter than the larger Dolomiti Superski resorts and offers beautiful slopes surrounded by remarkable mountain scenery. During this section, you can enjoy views of Monte Civetta and Monte Pelmo before stopping for lunch at one of the area’s traditional mountain restaurants.

After lunch, the tour continues towards Pescul, where another ski-bus or private transfer takes you to the Fedare area. From here, you enter the Cortina d’Ampezzo ski area and continue through the spectacular landscapes of Cinque Torri and Croda Negra.

The route then leads towards Rifugio Lagazuoi, one of the most panoramic points of the entire tour. From Lagazuoi, you ski through the famous Hidden Valley, a long and scenic descent surrounded by dramatic rock walls and frozen waterfalls.

At the bottom of the valley, near Rifugio Scotoni, you reach one of the most iconic experiences in the Dolomiti Superski area: the traditional horse tow back towards Alta Badia. Skiers hold onto ropes while being pulled across the flat valley by horses.

Once back in the Alta Badia ski area, the tour continues on skis to Corvara, where the day ends at the original starting point. With an experienced Alta Badia ski guide, the route, transfers and timing are carefully coordinated throughout this demanding full-day adventure.
