Via Ferrata World War Tunnels Lagazuoi

The Via Ferrata Lagazuoi Tunnels is one of the most unique and fascinating via ferrata experiences in the Dolomites. Located above Passo Falzarego near Cortina d’Ampezzo, this historic route follows the spectacular WWI tunnel system carved directly into the Lagazuoi mountain during the battles between Austrian and Italian troops.

Unlike classic ferratas focused on exposed rock climbing, the Via Ferrata Lagazuoi Tunnels is an immersive underground mountain adventure through dark galleries, stairways, ladders and historic military chambers hidden inside the mountain. Equipped with a headlamp, you explore more than one kilometer of tunnels while discovering one of the most important open-air WWI museums in the Dolomites.
