Booking Conditions
PAYMENT PLAN
Your booking is confirmed upon receipt of a 30% deposit (or the full amount for “last-minute” bookings made less than 60 days before the tour start). The remaining balance is due no later than 60 days before the start of the course.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
Once we receive written notice of your trip cancellation, the following fees apply, calculated as a percentage of the total trip cost:
- 61 days or more before the tour begins: 100% loss of the deposit
- 46 to 60 days before the tour begins: 50% refund of the total trip cost
- 45 days or fewer before the tour begins: 100% loss of the total trip cost
These fees are based on the full booking amount. All days refer to the tour’s departure date. All cancellations must be submitted in writing.

Tour Details
The Dolorama Trail is one of the most scenic and accessible multi-day treks in the Dolomites — the ideal introduction to hut-to-hut hiking in South Tyrol.
Stretching along the sunny side of the Puster Valley, this panoramic high-altitude route connects wide alpine meadows, dramatic Dolomite backdrops, and peaceful mountain passes. Compared to the Alta Via 1 or Alta Via 2, the Dolorama Trail is less exposed and technically straightforward, making it perfect for hikers with a basic fitness level seeking their first multi-day adventure.
Despite its accessibility, the experience is anything but ordinary. Vast horizons, glowing evening light, and authentic Italian mountain huts create a true Dolomite atmosphere — without technical terrain.
The classic 4-day version covers approximately 61 km. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, a 5-day option is available, splitting the longer first stage into two comfortable hiking days.
📋 Detailed Program
📅 Day 1 – Rodeneck (Zumis) to Maurerberghütte (Rifugio Monte Muro)
↑ 60 m – ↓ 475 m – 22 km – 6–7 hrs
A panoramic opening stage across rolling alpine meadows with wide views over the Puster Valley. Optional 5-day variant available to shorten this stage.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 2 – Maurerberghütte to Rifugio Genova
↑ 660 m – ↓ 450 m – 14.5 km – 5–6 hrs
Enter the UNESCO Dolomites at Würzjoch and continue toward the impressive Peitlerkofel massif.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 3 – Rifugio Genova to Rifugio Resciesa (Raschötzhütte)
↑ 500 m – ↓ 600 m – 16 km – approx. 6 hrs
Traverse scenic ridgelines through the Puez-Geisler Nature Park before reaching the panoramic Raschötz plateau above Val Gardena.
Overnight in a mountain hut.
📅 Day 4 – Rifugio Resciesa to Lajen
↑ 0 m – ↓ 1,100 m – 10 km – approx. 4 hrs
A final descent through varied alpine landscapes to the charming village of Lajen, completing your panoramic Dolomite journey.
