Full Description
This guided Seceda hike from Col Raiser is one of the most scenic panoramic hikes in Val Gardena and a perfect introduction to the beauty of the Dolomites. We meet at the Col Raiser cable car station in Santa Cristina, easily reachable from Ortisei by public bus. After taking the lift to the Col Raiser top station, the route leads to Rifugio Firenze, then continues beneath the dramatic Odle mountains toward Pieralongia Hut and Trojer Hut. The final ascent reaches the famous Seceda ridgeline viewpoint, one of the most iconic landscapes in the Dolomites.
After enjoying the panoramic ridge, we descend on scenic trails back toward the Col Raiser top station and return by lift to Santa Cristina. An optional descent by cable car directly to Ortisei is also possible.
This hike is ideal for guests looking for a classic guided hiking tour in Val Gardena with spectacular scenery but without technical difficulty. This tour can also be shortened significantly if needed. In this easier version, we hike from Col Raiser toward Rifugio Fermeda, then take the Fermeda chairlift up to the Seceda plateau. From there, we enjoy the famous Seceda ridgeline viewpoint and hike mostly downhill back toward Col Raiser. This makes the tour especially suitable for mixed groups with different hiking levels, where some guests prefer a shorter and easier route while still experiencing the main highlights of Seceda.
